The album is based off 2 Peter 1: 3 “His divine power has given us everything we need for a godly life through our knowledge of Him who called us by His own glory and goodness” (NIV) Since God called us by His own glory then we should live “For His Glory”. It is not impossible to do this but it starts with a decision to accept Christ. Once that is done the Holy Spirit will instantly enter your life and the process will begin. After that… prayer, reading the word, praise, worship and fellowship with God will help to renew your mind to think on this change that has occurred within you.
I believe that a decision to accept Christ is one of the greatest decisions a person can make. Through that small simple decision you can reap a tremendous harvest in this life and in the one to come. The best part about it is God has done all the work! You cannot earn his love, mercy or grace He gives it to us for free all because He loves us. The love of God led to the death, burial and resurrection of Jesus Christ and now all who believe on the name of Jesus will be saved!! (Romans 10:9) That is great news my friend because the world that we live in is quickly coming to an end.
Salvation is God’s gift to this dying world. The good news of the Gospel must be spread in order for people to be saved and make a change in their life. When we know God’s heart for mankind we can fully appreciate this gift that He gave us.
John 3:16 – 16 For God so loved the world that He gave His only begotten Son, that whoever believes in Him
should not perish but have everlasting life.
Since God is love He also desires that men and women who are made in his image become redeemed.
1 Timothy 2:4-5 who desires all men to be saved and to come to the knowledge of the truth.
5 For there is one God and one Mediator between God and men, the Man Christ Jesus.
The journey to the ultimate destination that God is taking us is long, narrow and filled with obstacles. This should not discourage us; with the Lord on our side we can be bold and make a stand in the face of adversity. My album “For His Glory” will offer songs to help believers get through that journey. It is my purpose to create music where listeners can be encouraged entertained and enjoy during their daily routines and that will glorify God in the process. The album “For His Glory” starts with salvations call and ends with us shining our lights to the world! Stay connected with me and let us prays for each other often. Be blessed and walk in the favor of God!
Updates for the album will be loaded through the “Get For His Glory” Splash page sign up for my email list to get them.

On Memorial Day weekend my family and I decided to go on a camping trip. We drove about 3 hours away to mid-Michigan to have a relaxing weekend of fishing, swimming, and to semi enjoy the outdoors!! I say semi because the cabin we were in had electricity, running water, cable TV, all kitchen appliances and a washer/dryer unit!!
Just getting away from the normal hustle and bustle to a nice quiet time was good in itself. We stayed in the city of Lake, Michigan on Cripple Lake. We roasted marshmallows, fished, and played games, and just “recharged” the entire time. The third day in we decided to get some paddle boats and go out on the water.
This would give us a chance to enjoy the lake while taking in all of nature’s beauty. The paddle boat was supposed to fit four but the way it was made would only work for two. So instead of all of us piling in there for safety’s sake my older daughter and I mounted the boat for our water excursion. As we launched out to sea we paddled slowly into the water, watching other boats, jet skis and pontoon boats go by. Being the slowest thing out there we had to be very careful and stay out of their way! Our plan was to paddle the boat across the lake all the way to our cabin.
We began to paddle away, (the paddle boat is made like a bicycle with two sets of petals) and as we are going boats are passing us by, rocking our little ship. Along with the speed boats the water current grew stronger as we went further out, suddenly our plan of crossing the lake did not seem so good! Being the captain of the ship I decided to make a quick u-turn! As we began to turn more boats are going by, the water is getting stronger and this tiny ship was getting tossed (Gilligan’s Island theme, lol) As we ferociously pedaled trying our hardest to make it back to the shallow end before another current came our way, out of nowhere we suddenly heard a POP! Then a CLANG, our petal was broken!! We’re in the lake with no power just floating along with a strong current and speed boats passing by us.
My mind began to race on what to do and how we were to get out of this situation. Then in my mind negative thoughts began to flood in saying “What if you die”, “What if you all don’t make it” For a minute fear gripped my heart! It was a pain in your stomach type of feeling, sweating and anxiety was really trying to take me over. Then I paused…stopped thinking…, prayed to God saying “I’m under the shadow of the Almighty, no hurt, harm, or danger will come to me, Jesus loves us, God loves us” I had to talk to myself to calm myself down. Once I started doing that I able to think clearer and during that time we floated closer to a person on a jet ski who was able to get us closer to shore and repair the chain on the paddle boat. Once we got back to the shop, I got that refund with the quickness!
The point of this story is how God is always there for us to calm and reassure us during times of distress. I believe if I would have panicked out there that would have lead my daughter to do the same and we could have possibly flipped and drowned in that lake. Trusting in God and His word is what got us through and it’s what will get you through the numerous storms of life. Once you rely on him you will notice what’s around you BUT you will have a CONFIDENCE in God where you can GET AWAY from the things that hold you back and move towards your destiny! The storms and waves are only a distraction, keep the focus on Christ! God Bless you and feel free to comment or leave other remarks……….Blessings to you!

By now the hype of the New Year has come and gone, by now people who said they were going to do a certain thing in 2009 is either following through with that plan or realized that that the task was to overwhelming. By now people have either stuck to what was old or started off on their new journey to fulfill whatever dream they had in their heart. We are now in the 21st day of 2009; I personally have yet to write out my goals for 2009. Though I have an idea for what I would like to see accomplished and thr previous years plan, those ideas are not updated and recommitted to paper, and it is so important to do that it says in
Habakkuk 2:2 it says “Write the vision and make it plain”
Jesus even said in
Luke 14:28 “Which of you intending to build a tower sitteth not down first and count the cost”
NEW YEAR’S RESOLUTION
Why do so many people make these only to come out unfulfilled, depressed and never completed? Many factors come to mind when I think of the fulfillment and attaining of goals. Here is a short list of why some do and some don’t reach the level of success they are going for1. Is God Involved? Have you prayed for guidance or is this something birthed out of your flesh?….2. Did you write out a road map and plan?….3. Are you disciplined enough to complete the plan?….4. Is your goal attainable or did you make it so lofty that not achieving in your allotted time will cause you to give up hope?….These are just a few that come to mind when I think of achieving goals and reaching for success. While speaking of it let me say this
EVERYONE’S SUCCESS IS DIFFERENT!!
Somebody may be highly successful if they get a C instead of an F, or save $10 more every pay check. Success is not defined by money, status or power. In my opinion success is defined by being at peace, being content, and having your needs met. True success starts with Salvation through Jesus Christ because then and only then can we fulfill our destinies.
Ephesians 2:10 “For we are His workmanship, created in Christ Jesus for good works, which God prepared beforehand that we should walk in them.”
What is your good works that will lead you to a lifetime of fulfillment? It may be closer than you think!! Seek the Lord through His word and He will guide you to the answer! My goals are being adjusted, planned and tweaked I’m determined to make every year better than the last!
