I am hitting the studio all next week to complete the finishing mixes on my album. I am so excited about this project more than any other one previously done….Why you ask….well for starters, the Lord dropped the title in my spirit more than 2 years ago and during my prayer time He spoke to me about how our lives are ultimately “For His Glory”! Salvation occurs so that we can be brought back to right standing with Christ but also so that we can show this new life to others and they can receive this same salvation. God really gave me a personal revelation of this concept and this album is an expression of that revelation.
Throughout the writing the writing process there were about twenty songs that were debating on that could possibly make the album but in the end twelve were selected. Each song is meant to compliment and build upon the other walking the listener from the start of salvation to where God wants us in reaching others. The first track “Will You Enter” starts out from an alter call, then jumps into what has just taken place with that salvation call. (Watch this video). The twelfth track, “Light Shine” shows this new life in Christ fully on display to the entire world! It speaks of how we should impact people daily since we are the light and salt of this world. In between you will hear songs of praise, head bangers, melodic rifts and even live instrumentation. My prayer is that people will not only be entertained but impacted with God’s spirit and provoked to adjust towards His plan for their lives!

JayMay was born and raised in Detroit, Michigan listening to the sounds of Run DMC, Tupac and others. Currently serving in the US Army, JayMay wants to show people how to receive all that the Lord has while making a declaration to live “For His Glory”. The six track features a mix of topics, styles and beats. We kick off with the big “Jesus Christ” over a syncopated beat with JayMay bringing a rhythmic flow as we throw our fists up while a standout is “I Am” as the MC reflects back who we are in Christ, mixing up the flow with good use of syncopation. “Family Guy” featuring Pastor J while we end the EP with an uplifting track over a house beat and the rapper’s stated desire to hear the words “Well done good and faithful servant” (Matthew 25.23).
